For plumbing companies

Every lead answered. Every estimate followed up. Invoices out the same day.

We set up AI for your plumbing company and connect it to the tools you already use. It answers new leads fast, chases the estimates that went quiet and gets the invoice out before the van leaves the driveway. Then our AI keeps making it better, with a real person on a call every month.

AI in plumbing companies today

Plumbers report using AI more than most trades, and in one survey they were the trade most likely to say it had helped the business grow. The shops describing it in the trade press are small ones: a dozen employees, eight vans. They use it for the paperwork around the job and for the calls that come in at 2 a.m., and nearly all of them keep a person in charge of what the customer hears. The newer pressure comes from homeowners, who now ask AI about the leak before they call, and sometimes after you quote.

How it's being used

  • 69% of plumbing contractors in one survey said they use at least one AI tool, ahead of electrical and HVAC. The survey was paid for by a field-service software company and mixes firms of every size. ServiceTitan survey, reported by Distribution Strategy Group, September 2026
  • A Milwaukee-area company with about 20 plumbers puts ChatGPT on their tablets to write invoices and proposals and to think through hard jobs. A plumber can photograph a failed water heater and get back a list of recommendations. CNN, October 2025
  • A 12-person family company in Torrance, California uses AI to take calls after 5 p.m., suggest the technician and route, and draft line-item quotes from past jobs that a tech approves on site. The owner puts the saving at about 500 hours a year, by his own count. Contractor Magazine, September 2025
  • A franchise in Binghamton, New York uses AI to pick up the after-hours and middle-of-the-night calls, and its co-owner calls that a big help. Plumber magazine, August 2026
  • Among more than 400 tradespeople surveyed, plumbers were the trade most likely to say AI had helped their business grow. No percentage was published. Housecall Pro survey, reported by CNN, October 2025

Where it's going wrong

  • The same Binghamton owner keeps AI off the phones during the day, because he wants customers to hear a human voice. He argues that knowing when not to adopt a tool matters as much as adopting it. Plumber magazine, August 2026
  • The Torrance owner treats everything AI produces as a suggestion, because one mistake could cost a customer's trust. He adds that it is only as good as the company's own job records, and that he cannot say how much of his growth it caused. Contractor Magazine, September 2025
  • Homeowners are checking your advice against AI. In a survey of 1,005 homeowners, a quarter had used AI to check or challenge what a contractor told them, and nearly one in four would put off hiring a professional if AI said the problem was not urgent. Even so, 79% trust a contractor more than AI. Guardian Service survey, July 2025
  • A manager at a Portland plumbing company warns that the cost of putting AI in falls hardest on smaller shops, that the learning curve disrupts work, and that a tool that is not working should be dropped, not forced. Plumber magazine, April 2025
  • When homeowners ask an AI assistant who to call, the franchise names come up. One public relations firm's test estimated that about 87% of independent plumbing and HVAC contractors got no mention at all in their own city. The firm did not explain how it arrived at that figure. 5W index, reported by Plumbing & Mechanical, May 2026
  • An AI assistant can hand a homeowner the wrong phone number if a plumber's website, Google listing and directories disagree. Vague service areas and out-of-date license details cause the same trouble. Contractor Magazine, article by a web hosting company, October 2026

What we take from it

The small shops getting value from AI use it the same way: it drafts, a person decides. That is how we set yours up. It answers the lead, follows up the estimate and writes the invoice, and you or your dispatcher approve what goes out.

A homeowner who has already asked AI about the leak is not a problem if your estimate explains itself. One of the things your AI does is put photos and a plain-English note on every recommendation, which is the best answer to a customer checking your quote against a chatbot.

Being found by AI assistants comes down to housekeeping: the same phone number, service area and license details on your website, your Google profile and every directory, with recent reviews answered. Your AI can check that every week.

Common questions

Click a question to see the answer.

Will AI answer my emergency calls?

That is not what we set up. Your AI makes sure every call, text and web inquiry gets a fast reply and a follow-up, and that nothing waits until morning unnoticed. Who answers your phone stays your decision.

Will it quote jobs?

No. Your plumbers quote the work. Your AI follows up every estimate at 2, 5 and 10 days, drafted for you to approve, and logs why the lost ones were lost.

We're a small shop. Is this worth it at our size?

It is built for owner-run companies. We pick two priorities with you and track one number for each, such as the share of estimates won or days from job done to invoice, so you can see whether it is paying off.

Do my plumbers have to learn new software?

No. Your AI connects to the software you already run. Where a priority involves the crew, the change is usually a short checklist or a one-line script.

What does it cost?

$1,000 a month for two priorities, plus setup from $1,500. The first step is a free 20-minute call.
